In the Christian tradition, red symbolizes the coming of the Holy Spirit. You'll see the Pentecost banners inside the sanctuary and outside on the church grounds. We celebrate Pentecost to remind ourselves that we need the Holy Spirit to breathe life in us, into our community, and into the world. Don't forget to pray for the folks who are serving on this year's mission trip. They are going to be helping out a lot of folks locally this year.
